*SPOILER ALERT

In the latest episode of “The Mindy Project,” Mindy Lahiri and Danny Castellano argue over where and how Mindy should give birth.

Mindy wants to be completely drugged up and have a C-section in a luxurious birthing suite while Danny firmly believes that the old-fashioned way is the best.

Unable to convince Mindy against the C-section, Danny resorts to the help of a book titled “Paleo Birth” to find out ways to induce natural childbirth. When Mindy comes home, Danny tries tricking Mindy’s body into going into labor early using wine, spicy food, and even a massage. Once she figures out what he’s up to, she gives him a piece of her mind.

Though some people may find that Mindy’s fears and attitude towards her birthing plan are somewhat ridiculous, I think the fact that she isn’t afraid to fight for what she wants is one of the many things that makes her such a boss.

The day after the argument, Mindy heads to the fertility expo on the subway with Morgan Tookers, Tamra Webb and BeverlyJanoszewski. And, the unexpected happens, Mindy’s water breaks in the middle of the car right before the subway gets stuck underground.

Meanwhile, Danny is about to get dinner with Jeremy when he realizes that the only reason Mindy is being hesitant about the natural birthing process is because she’s scared.

So, Danny rushes to Mindy’s side after he finds out his baby boy is on his way (100 fictious points to Castellano for running through a dark subway tunnel), he tells her that she’s a “stone cold bitch” and assures her that she’s stronger than she thinks she is.

Cue the aww’s yet again.

Danny may not always be on the same page as Mindy, but he does know how to be by her side when she needs him most.

The episode ends on an even cuter note when we get a glimpse of baby Leo Castellano, whose chubby cheeks are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Now that the baby’s here, I can’t wait to see what new hilarious problems this dynamic duo face next.

Memorable Quotes from the Episode:

  • “Why should only women have to suffer through pain? Why don’t you try having one of your cavities filled without novocaine?” -Mindy
  • “He can’t come out early! Then he’d be a Virgo, and Virgos are honest and reliable.” -Mindy
  • “Sorry, I’m taking a night school class. It’s called ‘Making excuses at work.’” -Beverly
  • “I will never have a natural birth. I’m gonna be so drugged out for my c-section, Donald Trump will have started his second term.”-Mindy
